There are a few great ideas to bring MiX members together in some of the other hacks - Skype chats, online meetings, local get togethers - all these are great - There are a ton of amazing people contributing to the MiX - and it would be great to get to know them better, or when I meet someone in person to know that they are on the MiX - perhaps a directory or an easy "connect on LinkedIn" button - something to start to build the community on a peer-to-peer basis. Also, +1 to some of the other ideas - it would be cool to do more online seminars, the MiX Mashup was great, but obviously a bigger event - but local informal gatherings might not be too difficult to stage more frequently. I'm sure a number of MiXers would love to give an online talk or host a webinar - perhaps the MiX could take on a role of executive producer - and facilitate and evangelize these through the MiX site. The MiX is a tremendous resource and it would be great to see the community come together even more strongly and use the power of the network to really change 21st century management.
