Story:
Leadership and the end of micromanagement

A leader has two main responsibility.



1. Establish his/her vision and communicate it to the organisation's community. The vision itself should speak to the people and create an emotional response rallying everybody behind it, in turn creating a momentum of energy towards the organisation's mission, goals and objectives. 



2. To protect, at all cost, its community (employees, clients, partners). That is a general task which englobes getting the right ideas, hiring the right people, and offering healthy company structure (location, financial, HR, Sales, customer service, IT, ops, and promotional infrastructure). 



The leader's main tool to achieve this is delegation (as opposed to micromanagement). A very basic instrument which unfortunately is not used enough. 



Thank you for baring with me this far, I am getting to my point... 



All in all, the vision and the protective environment will create what is necessary to instil a sense of belonging and mobilisation of the organisation's community.

The leader that follows this model is in turn more focused, takes better care of his/her needs and has more time to have a fulfilling life.  Win - win - win.
