- I have gone back and forth between being a mental health therapist (substance abuse, HIV/AIDS/ pain clinics, Hospice, juvenile justice) and management/supervisory positions (HMO, Hospice manager, healthcare Quality Improvement Organization - Medicare). Having the background in psychology has made me a successful manager.
- I served in the US Peace Corps for an agricultural project in the Dominican Republic. Also have had my share of jobs like volunteer firefighter, train robber (scenic railway!), busboy, yacht sales, and biofeedback tech.
- I believe we are here to help others. When I say that I often get, "What are the others here for?" Accepting someone's offer of help is allow them to fulfill their purpose, so I consider it one way of helping someone else. Oh yes, I play guitar, like photography, love dogs, build computers, read a variety of materials, and actually enjoy going to the gym.
