James DeJulio is the co-founder and President of Tongal, a creative social platform for brands and meritocracy for talent. The company was founded on the understanding that creative ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, and that the established content creation models in Hollywood and Madison Avenue were outdated and closed. At Tongal, James is responsible for managing product, creative output and leading the world’s largest advertisers (McDonald’s, P&G, Coca-Cola) into the exciting new possibilities that are created by leveraging Tongal’s distributed creative workforce model to produce content for new media.
Previously, he was the co-founder of Half Shell Entertainment where he managed key content development strategies with HBO and National Lampoon. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Production at Paramount Pictures where he oversaw motion picture development for the hit comedy How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and the critically acclaimed documentary, The Kid Stays In The Picture. James began his career as a Fixed Income Analyst at Lehman Brothers.
He has been featured in Inc., AdWeek, Mashable, Rolling Stone and on CNBC. Mr. DeJulio graduated from Boston College with a degree in economics.
