Me in Three
- If you could know only one thing about me, all you'd need to know to work with me is that my Myers-Briggs personality type is INTJ. Read www.personalitypage.com/INTJ.html and you have me all figured out. One side-effect of my personality: I track my "billable hours" -- sometimes in 10-minute increments.
- I am shaped by the corporate culture invented by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. I started with HP in 1981. I transferred to Agilent Technologies in 1999. My background is test and measurement. I was in the HP computer business 2003-2010, and then I signed on with JDSU's Communications Test Solutions business. I bring skills to the table from management (engineering services & productivity), R&D (software process engineering, UNIX, Emacs Lisp, and middleware for application software), marketing (sales development), software quality/testing and Knowledge Management. I've been using the Internet since 1981 and I've been creating Web content since its earliest days in 1994.
- I enjoy sport. I raced bicycles until I broke my collarbone in a 12-bike pileup in Weld County (didn't even finish one season). I climbed 5.10 routes in the Garden of the Gods, sailed a sloop, sculled in the Charles River, fenced; and I surfed in Kauai, Maui, and Monterey Bay. I once went scuba diving off the coast of Maui. In 1997 I learned to ride a motorcycle, bought one, and drove it 4,300 miles across 13 states in 12 days. These days I love hiking (every chance I get along same common-area trails in my neighborhood) and golfing and skiing (even though I'm lucky to golf or ski more than once a year).
