Me in Three
- Currently senior director of Organization Development for a global engineering/project services company. I oversee and drive the whole gamut of standard "OD" work from succession planning to organization design, organizational change and leadership development, but I'm especially passionate about taking the obsolete industrial age relic of "performance management" out of the corporate practice library. There is a better way. A much better way.
- My graduate and doctoral work combined the latest research in complex, adaptive and evolutionary systems theory with the more "traditional" work in humanistic organizational behavior, I/O psych, etc. I'm a total "systems thinking" geek and have worked with some of the top systems researchers and academics in the field. But actually applying this knowledge to large organizational systems is what I find most fun.
- My heros? Bela H. Banathy, one of the founders of the IFSR (and my research advisor and friend for many years) and my family. Authors I like are too numerous to list, but lately I've been on a neuroscience and neurobiology kick. I think we have a lot of "unlearning" to do about how our minds (and brains) actually work.
