- "Pursue something so important that even if you fail, the world is better off with you having tried.” (Tim O'Reilly) Suffice it to say that I think about failure a lot. Working with it, instead of fearing it, has an incredible power to spark ideas and collaborative learning in individuals, teams and organizations. I think an acceptance of failure, and the validity of learning by doing, is the missing piece to figuring out how to solve the wildly complex problems our organizations face.
- I run AdmittingFailure.com and FailForward.org. The former hopes to spark a paradigm shift in how we perceive and talk about failure. The latter supports organizations to turn this new way of thinking into action and use failure to learn, innovate and build resilience.
- I see a trend where people recognize the importance of finding meaning and are deliberately seeking it out and shaping their work to their values. I am continually inspired by the potential for change that is inherent in this.
