Hack:
"Ride the revolution"

One possible way to achieve a sucessfull DNA swap in an existing organisation, in order to switch from a personal power based hierarchy to a "natural" hierarchy, is what I call the "Ride the revolution" solution. Unfortunately for him and many thousands of French citoyens, Louis XVI and his advisers didn't know how to ride the revolution: therefore, the king and all the royal family, priests and nobles were overidden by the streets, the facts and... the guillotine. This apparently disruptive process can be attempted If hierarchy conflicts become usual, or if there's a strong trend or pressure to work under a "natural" hierarchy style amidst the organisation's knowledge workers. This doesn't mean that the existing hierarchy will be smashed, fired or thrown to redundancy at director level, for instance: before the new pattern's human LEDs begin to light up the room, existing middle or close-to-top managers will be carefully prepared. Keeping their former positions and status, they'd be gently compelled to yield to a participative style decision-making with the emerging heads, some of them acting as advisors, as well.
