11/18 Laps special file : Jukebox Social spread unleashes Innovation
Few companies organize to walk multiple paths to re-invent themselves.
Note : if you have a strange feeling of "Deja Vu", or "Synchronicity" it is absolutely normal, and you are fine. Innovation is partly in this rapid prototyping and entanglement experience between different stories and dimensions. It is innovating on innovation illustration.
Few companies set up the environment for individuals to do the same. I interviewed a guy who experienced 18 laps race event into the innovation pool into the same company. Some kind of initiatic workout for innovation talent development.
This story is 100% facts based. It describes more in details one specific lap. This is Lap 11.
This lap is about maestros (sponsors), corporate communication and organizational values. Spreading the beat, wave the pulse, impulse. Trust room for improvisation. The story gives a real example of ocean-wide communication deeply embedded in core values.
We are talking a 20 years period. Laps are not chronologic. Lap 11 gave birth to a new interlude just a few months ago.
The company where the "pool" hosted this weird swimming workout has grown from 5 to 50 thousands employees in the time. Regional to global status.
Although this organization is considered innovative, no official program has been set up for such long distance and multi experience dive.
The flash interview has been inspired by the Mix Challenge.
Real field experience is analyzed as a stand-alone testimony among a chain of 18 stories. However, smart readers will also find out a series of related hacks.
Abundant food for thoughts.
A recurrent quote is that the core trade basics require "5 years to learn how to float".
With few written materials in a time preceeding ISO certification programs, coulpled with a fast expanding company and individuals scopes, the guy interviewed rapidly understood that problems will come up quickly without any troubleshooting guide.
This was not about firefighting. Young recruits were feeling like scouting on a "Terra Incognita". Draft maps provided not representing the territory.
Many would prefer "18 holes" for a title and the story could lead through a nice golf course. Especially our Mix Guru.
Appealing outdoor demanding exercise. Concentration and precision skills development drive. Diversity in the landscape. Time for mind simulation and computation.
Sorry, the journey sounds quite more repetitive, breath-taking but for no gorgeous scenery. Against the clock. And bouncing back on a wall.
Our recruit is describing his professional experience as a swimming workout.
Here is the eleventh out of 18 Questions & Answers giving details of the experience :
11. Do you sponsors create widespread accountability for innovation?
Freestyle John Linchpin: Sponsors....I’d rather tell you Maestros please!
They try hard to get us all "in-tune".This was the june 2012 tagline for an international boot camp I joined as many as 600 mates in a nice place of the french silicon valley.
We were trained by four external coaches to sing a south-african miners song. Laps time and even morning Tai-Chi were in addition in order to open mind and body. A unique and enlightening experience, I must say.
Maestros are undoubtedly essentials in our incredibly large and growing ocean of arabesques... while each and everyone of us is swimming to the 18-strings pure style compo. Can you imagine, so many hands producing all rich harmonic and dissonants sounds. Worldwide polyphonic vibrations giving character and unique view to a powerful music production.

Listen... a few days ago we’ve actually had a very neat illustration of syntonic waves flowing worldwide, born under the initiative of experienced pulsar watchers. It’s the innovation primary aquabeat, which has been successfully provided for vision and widespread diffusion to more than 50.000 swimmers. Contagious, isn’t it? Well, if our lifetime sponsors would like everyone to be on tempo when we talk organization values, we first have to make sure that all swimmers are well equipped with waterproof MP3 devices that they are able to switch on anytime. Accessible way in order to deepen their ability to get along a deeply shared rhythm and sense of innovation.

Good ear comes with practice and effortful rehearsals...From muscle to mental exercise. You really need to prepare your athletes well. 1 Lap and done ? Don’t you think so.... You asked about widespread accountability? Press previous, play the tone, press forward, play replay, let it loop. And if not all are ready yet, press pause, and replay again (repeat). Or Randomized and vary the training routine. Jukebox mode.
Besides the replay routine, it is important and will make it a lot easier for all ensemble strings players, if the notesheets are edited and widely displayed, too. If you ask me, you can take a look at our pool’s wall.
There are Maestros artpics expressing about the innovation melody, which is printed on XL posters. It’s for all swimmers to better understand the harmony that is used and conveyed in the worldwide chorus. And so far i can tell you, Maestros are putting a particular focus on explaining how the different chords are actually building the melodic line, so that all music lovers can play well on track, whatever their level of experience.
Dozens of thousands voices embracing together in a singing choir is the main benefit.
Music production is also clear and neat. Global cohesive-coherence and worldwide innovation resonance is a big advantage and a first step towards positively acknowledging experimental risks and trying new ideas.
Also, the arpeggios exercises available in e-mode are undoubtedly beneficial for all musicians to have the same basis to improvise upon: experimental sound performance.
Clear corporate vision or a leading voice on innovation is a powerful facilitator to leverage our company worldwide capabilities, joint innovation forces and push the corporate bounds.
Mix big communication waves with smaller local initiatives to carry the message to all.
White card: the melody line should convey deep enthusiasm for creativity and risk daring. Welcome challenges. Leave room for insights. Embrace enterprise trust. Fortissimo.
