I've seemed to have built expertise around being a "focused generalist". I like to take needed new roles that no one else in the organization either has the expertise or resources to fill, develop the skills necessary to fill it, structure it, and focus on maturing it up.
I'm less interested in developing theory, and more interested in applying it. I love that others can do the "thinking" part, and I am happy to get things done and be the guinea pig for new organizational practices and systems.
I'm finding gardening to be a new and intriguing hobby. I'm really enjoying the challenge in balancing aesthetics, sunlight, pests, and planting strategy with harvesting food with the minimal amount of work possible. There is an artistry and a strategy to the whole thing that I'm finding that I enjoy.
