My pet thing about organisations is that people underappreciate them . Good organisations provide income , security , social networks , development and training opportunities, challenge and most of all fun !! Why do so many slag of their bosses , co workers , head office etc and make themselves miserable about the lack of control and influence they have. If they are miserable in their organisations, just leave and find a happy organisation, or start your own business.
I like freedom and variety at work and at home. Just starting and finishing a task that is useful, no matter how mundane is an achievement. The more things I finish the happier I am . I have run 7 marathons and finishing was of course the highlight
My mantra dont start something you dont have the energy or time to finish and
if you start something dont give up till you finish, no matter what the setbacks.
Other advise from 51 years experience of life , be kind to yourself and dont kill yourself or your relationships by being too ambitious, enjoy your successes but take time to relax and experience the fullness of the world .
