- Big ideas that allow the human race to climb higher, get a better view and make better decisions is what gets me out of bed in the morning. Turning big ideas into reality is what keeps me up at night.
- Like the English musician Brian Eno, I am drawn to the Big Here and the Long Now. What looks like an inescapable trade-off, irreconcilable conflict of interests and intractable problem from a short term perspective of a particular organization looks much simpler if you shift your perspective. Jogging on the perspective shifting treadmill is my favorite past time.
- Contemplating death is my all times favorite management tool! It makes it harder to spend my time on matters of no consequence. It makes it easier to engage in big projects reasonable people would not take on.
