Me in Three
- I study the ways today's greater complexity and faster pace of change affect indiduals, communities, and organizations. I investigate how ever increasing complexity influences the way groups and companies organize themselves, address intractable challenges, and ultimately think about the world.
- I focus on exploring inclusive and transdisciplinary approaches to address wicked problems, a phrase originally used in social planning, but which applies to some economic, environmental, and organisational issues as well. These problems typically involve many stakeholders with different values and priorities, contain considerable uncertainty and are tightly interconnected, economically, socially, technologically.
- I'm a certified Holacracy practitioner. Holacracy is a real-world-tested social technology for agile and purposeful organization. It radically changes how an organization is structured, how decisions are made, and how power is distributed. It leads to... - lean & adaptable organization - highly effective meetings - clearly distributed authority - purpose driven work. Ultimately, Holacracy helps an organization become antifragile because it can now process shocks, opportunities, and surprises both from its environment and from within in an unprecedented way.
