Me in Three
From as early as I can remember I have believed that there is a better way of working and that the answer lies, at its simplest, in treating people better. That is, treating all people better...customers (internal and external), fellow workers, stakeholders, etc.
My passion is finding the path to bringing this better world to fruition.
I love to read crime/espionage fiction - Lee Child, Michael Connelly, Nelson DeMille amongst others. I play golf at Keperra Country Golf Club and you can contact me to have a round next time you're in Brisbane - I play off 20. I like to travel the globe with my clubs in tow so I can have a hit wherever I am with the locals - so feel free to invite me to your course too!
Cooking is another passion and while I follow recipes sometimes (mainly when baking or for sweets which I'm developing my skills at), I create through inspiration found in my pantry, fridge, sometimes in recipes, what I've eaten elsewhere around the world. Current signature dishes are: Chicken Parmigiana, Chilli con Pollo, Brutti ma Buoni (delicious hazelnut meringue cookies), Causa Limena (a peruvian dish).
Lately I have found Kouzes & Posner's Exemplary Leadership most helpful: Model the way; Inspire a shared vision; Challenge the process; Enable others to act; Encourage the heart.
I have teamed this with Bracey's Spirit of Leadership: Hear and understand me; Even if you disagree with me, please don't make me wrong; Acknowledge the greatness within me; Remember to look for my loving intentions; Tell me the truth with compassion.
