Connect MIXers with Mavericks

By MIX Team on February 5, 2013

The MIX has developed a broad network of MIX Mavericks—some of the most well-known management innovators in the world. We think MIXers would find it valuable to interact with Mavericks more frequently--for instance, through regular google hangouts open to all, with questions submitted by the community in advance of the event

I do support this idea but I still think the mavericks' interaction needs to be as facilitators rather than experts, and I'd ideally like to get rid of the distinction between mavericks and non-mavericks completely (which would help us live the principles of the moon shots too). http://www.mixhackathon.org/content/mix-20-real-community#comment-15791

Reading this after seeing a lot of the other thoughts shared on making the MIX more of a community, I think what I would really like to see is more regular interaction between all MIX participants, including mavericks, in things like Q/A or forum discussions. I do like the chat/hangout idea, but I think that having the pre-selected list of questions and timed event could make it feel less like a community and more like an event. If the mix launched its own community, the mavericks could nurture and respond to posts by participants.

I am in.
Hangouts are fine.Although I would like us to promote co-operative intelligence and co-creation during such meeting points in order to move one level up in interaction between Mavericks. From comments to content enhancement as a key output.

I would definitely participate in this. I also think you could have hangouts on specific topics where people could come together with a host or facilitator, but less about hearing from one expert than about all sharing ideas.
