The suceess of any organisation depends on the TEAM . To me the most important things that we need to do is to encourage an environment of unconditional love and care with a balance of authority and responsibilty . A secure from within leadership encourgaes a wholesome space to perform better and innovate without being blinded . All of us are humans and as the five fingers can never be the same we cant be same yet have complementry stenghts which can be used for our advantage as team. A rewards mechanism for performance is normally there and yet what we lack is the ability to unleash the power of the so called average performers and their ability to become leaders . Ha ha ..so am I saying that a company has only leaders and no followers no that would be a disaster . I would respect each person as the king / oqueen of his / her house or role at the moment and explain the basic requiements of effective performance in their current roles to each with clarity . This would normally take away 75 % of their time . 25 % I would encourage to be sued for their contributions to self development , the organsiation;s welfare , innovation and the family welfare of their families and their colleagues . This would create a some what interdependence in each one of them and yet a culture of being responsible yet having care and share .
Some broad formal boundaries definately are required to let accountability exist and work happen in a fcossued manner .
A blend of eastern wisdom and wetern process orietnation amy be a helpful path .
Teams who have a defined purpose can be very powerful within an organisation and can achieve more. Many teams are put together in organisations to work on projects but the individuals who are in them have their own hidden agendas. This means the main aim of the team working on a project becomes limited in strength and so the project can stall.
Teams need to have a common goal to achieve and an individuals own personal reasons for being in the team needs to be put to one side. The aim of the team and the project need to be specific and achievable.
Teams need to become more spiritual in their approach and organisations have to be built on specific purposes not just for financial gain. Spirituality in business has always been around but just forgotten as we have all become obsessed with money and materialism.
Eastern wisdom and business is built on a teams purpose to work to a specific end goal. All departments of the business have this goal in mind whilst working on a daily basis. This makes them as a business powerful and profitable.
