There is something important in this hack. Not for what it says, because frankly the content is untested and promotes the same system of reward and punishment with different judges, but because it places the focus on the innovators. One could call these innovators the Knowledge centres of the enterprise. The hack is thus a recognition that now Knowledge must have primacy over such mundane considerations as a carrot with its accompanying stick. I would say take this realization one step further: let Knowledge run the company. It is time we leveraged technology to serve the interest of the stakeholders. Changing the board does not.
Substance does convince people to forsake for the future. Society does invest in infrastructure. The real need is good leaders and emphasis on Knowledge flows has perhaps brighter chances of emerging good leaders.
