I am currently doing research on the application of social computing in enhancing business strategies, development, management and globalization. My research work on agile competitors and virtual organizations has been integrated with this and we are now focusing on enhancing internal communication, co-development and collaboration to make innovation ubiquitous.
I am a professor at Lehigh University and fascinated by the intersection of Computer Science ( my department) and Business ( in the real world not academia). I have extensive experience in working with global executives in developing new ideas and concepts and testing them in the real world.
I was part of a team which wrote a white paper on the potential business applications of social computing. I am convinced by Larry Lessig's work and that of others that we are now in a read write culture, and that the wisdom of crowds is a critical success factor. I am trying to meld that with the work of Daniel Pink on motivating people in these new environments, and delighted to be part of "the Mix"
