Hack:
Thinking Out of the box is not enough . . . Dissolve the box and Reposition
By “dissolving our boxes” we add the finer variables into our decisions which are more intelligent, inclusive and relevant. We miss them when we think out of the box, as the deeper boxes still remain as reference points. “De-pollute decisions” to lead the hot crowded and the dynamic flat world.
-
Our coping mechanisms are going down. We have become very fragile. We are under tremendous pressure, insecurity and we are only artificially motivated.
-
We are a new age slave - We respond to situations through stereotyped thoughts which come automatically and compulsively.
-
We are guided by situations and we fail to guide the situation.
-
We have fallen in love with our traps and we are not aware of it. This is holding us back.
-
This slavery is more dangerous than anything else, as it pours into all our responses polluting and infecting them.
-
Our traps and boxes actually translate into organizational bottlenecks and is the root cause of all problems in life.
-
It stops us from that finer unity beneath the grosser diversity at the tangible level. Our traps and boxes gives different shape, colour and size to the world preventing it to be really flat.
The root cause
We are in a vicious trap because of limited understanding of ourselves. This gives rise to hidden fear and ego. Because of this we are hooked to our boxes – attached to the outcome so we fail to really live every moment. We resist the present as we are attached to our boxes thus failing to design thoughts and solutions.
Impact
Human beings are the basic unit of any organization. And thought is the basic unit of response for a person. If this thought is limited and infected so becomes the individual and so becomes the organization of which s/he is a part.
Thinking out of the box is not enough . . . Dissolve the box and Reposition. Let us understand this through an example. If you ask a thief to think out of the box he will probably steal better and manipulate the laws better. But the same thief when dissolves his box will realise in the first place that he is not a thief and at the same time will get the designing intelligence to Reposition himself. It is the same with us. We respond from a polluted understanding of ourselves and so are our objectives, means and alternatives to achieve our end.
Our past learning is certainly there but they are not dominant enough to prevent designing of new thoughts. When we think out of the box the change is only incremental and not radical because of the deeper boxes.
We can dissolve our boxes by practicing “silence-acceptance of the present”. Now our attention is deep in the present and we become the silent witnessing presence operating at a much finer and a fertile frequency. We now bring in more consciousness into our decisions and this in turn brings in more dimensions and variables to design our thoughts and solutions unlike when we respond from boxes. Silence-acceptance does not mean inaction.
Just like a field is ploughed before sowing the seed, silence-acceptance takes you to the fertile platform from where you act and not react. Action is when we guide the situation unlike reaction when situation guides us. Now any thought or variable is not blown out of proportion and they get their due importance. Now we are free from our vicious traps polluting all or decisions. This de-pollutes all our decisions and is the mantra for tomorrow’s leaders and enterprises.
We are designing a software (UQ Matrix Software) to bridge the knowing and the doing gap in organizations. This software will make the organization more fertile, thinking and learning and will facilitate democracy, oneness and intelligence in the organization.
It will help to move on from
-
Thought to Intent leadership.
-
From physical to mental flatteners flattening the world.
-
It frees us from our tricky love of vicious traps.
-
Break all myths holding us back.
-
Design thoughts and solutions in personal and professional lives.
-
Become a real and a natural leader.
-
De-pollute decisions to Reposition.
-
Make the organization more fluid and fertile.
-
Creates a flatter organization and a flatter world as the hierarchies and the bottlenecks dissolve naturally.
-
Increases the number of variables participating in our decision.
-
Creates natural cooperation and cross functional coordination within the organization and also with other organizations.
-
Creates a better life and a better world which is inclusive, sustainable and intelligent.
-
Sensitize the entire organization with the idea of “Dissolving all the boxes” and then follow it up to answer all the questions. This idea is also in the form of a book written by me called “Next What’s In” which can be used as a reference.
-
Implementing the UQ Matrix Software in the organization to bridge the “knowing and the doing gap” so that the idea can be put to use in workstations and personal lives.
I would like to credit all the research and development that has happened till date in different locations and in different time periods. However, i would like to specially credit this hack to the sages who have experimented with their lives to pass on the knowledge through the Vedas. I am inspired by Gita, Bible, Koran, Science, Psychology, Philosophy, Management and of course people.
The Idea is impressive.
How do you think that this Dissolve the box concept will be challenging the today's prevalent concept?
What impact will it have in terms of decision making?

I suspect that Step 1 would be a lot harder than this sentence implies:
"Sensitize the entire organization with the idea of “Dissolving all the boxes” and then follow it up to answer all the questions."
Certainly everyone working within an organization brings to work every day their own motivations, their own agenda & biases -- even their own philosophies & religious beliefs. How does this translate into a tactical message that works at the level of management of an organization?

@ Vikram: Dissolving the box will certainly add more relevant variables into our decisions making our decision more informed and intelligent. At the same time it will de-pollute all our deciisons which are caused by our mental boxes.

Dear David,
Like all of us even you practice silence-acceptance everyday but the duration is too small so like all of us even you miss it. It is natural to us. You are much more intelligent than what your boxes force you to believe. Practice silence-acceptance of the present and you will dissolve all boxes and limitations. The situation will remain the same but now your coping mechanisms increase many fold. Now you do not convert the situation into a problem. When you accept the present as it is without comparing the present with what your boxes want, a lot of energy is released. This is the creative energy that enables you to design thoughts and solutions. Let me give a simple example. When you are frustrated or in a state of anxiety your thoughts become dominant and are blown out of proportion. They take you over . . . the moment you cool down you get more insights and you are in a better position to understand the view point of people around you and design a solution. Isn't it? What we are saying is what we consider as normal . . . is actually a relatively higher created state of anxiety and when we get angry this state goes up further. When we are natural we vibrate at the Alpha frequency but unfortunately we are now responding from the Beta frequency which is a relatively agitated and barren frequency preveting us to design solutions. We are just recommending people to get back to their natural self.
When we dissolve our boxes we add more variables into our decision as our perception is not limited to our boxes. For example if you have X variables now . . . by dissolving the boxes you will have X + Y variables. The Y variables are the finer, deeper and the more intelligent variables which we fail to see when we respond from our boxes. It allows us to think deepr, wider and faster. This is the mantra for tomorrow's leaders and enterprises.
I thank you for your inputs and concerns. Please feel free to get in touch for any further clarification.

Hi Santosh
Interesting contribution. Somehow I feel that dissolving the box calls for a great courage, some may possess that but majority would not be able to muster this strength. Why not remodel the box itself??
Dont you think that as managers of today, we need to better channelize our skills, motivations and deliveries.

@ Mr. Chandra - I appreciate your comment. I would request you to go through the presentation - "Dissolve the Box" for a deeper understanding. The link is http:/cas4u.in/ppt/clp23-sp.ppt ( it is uploaded in the document)
By nature we don't have boxes. We pick them up and get hooked to them. What you are trying to say is to take out the frog in the well and put it into in a bigger and a better well. Believe me you are much more intelligent than what you think yourself to be . . . the only problem is we have fallen in love with our slavery and mistake this to be natural when it is not.
