My focus is to reduce the destructiveness of our institutions by bringing human connection into corporations, government entities, and other organizations. I believe a vast majority of destructive decisions are made by normally caring people at moments when they are detached from themselves and humanity.
Since leaving my engineering career, I have had several unforgettable, transformational experiences that have helped give my research unique perspectives, including:
-Living in a van, traveling across the US for a year
-Travel in developing countries
-Owning and running an art gallery
-Living in a van for economic reasons
-Becoming a Nonviolent Communication Facilitator
Rarely have I felt more connected to humanity than when I have co-facilitated Nonviolent Communication courses within the walls of a state prison. To see and feel the complexities, insecurities, humor, and genuine love in people treated so harshly on a daily basis inspires great hope in me.
